KPMG is currently seeking a Managing Director to join our Audit organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement remedial actions to address the root causes of audit quality challenges and perform ongoing monitoring of the effectiveness of the remedial actions, support engagement teams with audit issues
  • Create and maintain guidance for the KPMG Audit Manual
  • Develop, coordinate and deliver internal and external professional education programs about audit topics
  • Monitor standard-setting activities and assist in developing KPMG guidance about Accounting and SEC topics
  • Accumulate and prepare analyses of audit quality matters identified by PCAOB inspections and QPR reviews; design and conduct in-flight/in-depth review programs
  • Assist with the career development of team members

Qualifications:

  • Minimum ten years of current and/or recent financial statement audit experience within a public accounting firm with demonstrated supervisory experience
  • Bachelors from an accredited college/university and licensed CPA in their home office state
  • Professional fellowship at banking regulatory agency preferred
  • Demonstrated, advanced working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and/or International Financial Reporting Standards, U.S. Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS), Public Company Oversight Board (PCAOB) Auditing Standards and SEC Rules and Regulations
  • Solid writing and organizational skills
  • Strong analytical, project management, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Professional fellowship at banking regulatory agency preferred
