Job Summary

Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is seeking an exceptional candidate to provide contractor support for the National Space Test and Training Complex (NSTTC) Integrated Program Office (IPO). The chosen individual will play a vital role in executing market analysis, formulating acquisition strategies, developing requests for proposal documents, conducting technical evaluations of proposals, and performing programmatic risk assessments. This critical support is instrumental in ensuring the NSTTC program meets its cost, schedule, and performance goals.

Candidates with prior experience as a Contracting Officer Representative (COR/COTR) are particularly sought after. Demonstrated success in collaborating with both prime and subcontractors is highly valued. The primary responsibilities of the role encompass the meticulous tracking and management of requirements, technical baselines, programmatic risks, and the seamless integration cross Lines of Effort (LOEs) to support NSTTC IPO programs.

In addition to these core responsibilities, the ideal candidate may also be involved in supporting the Government through activities such as market analysis, acquisition strategy development, request for proposal document creation, and the technical evaluation of proposals. This multifaceted role requires a candidate with a proven track-record of excellence and the ability to contribute effectively to the success of NSTTC programs.

Job Requirements:

Skills / Experience Required

• 10+ years of invaluable experience within the Department of Defense
• Provide senior leadership with insightful recommendations to ensure the success of critical missions
• Demonstrate the ability to convey intricate information in a clear and accessible manner
• Exhibit a proactive nature, emphasizing prevention over reaction when addressing challenges
• Champion the comprehensive management of contract processes, overseeing assigned contracts from initiation to completion, collaborating with internal business owners, stakeholders, and external partners
• Play a pivotal role in supporting government contract proposal evaluations
• Facilitate streamlined interdepartmental communications, coordinating and supporting meetings to promptly address financial and contractual matters, inquiries, and actions
• Generate, review, and maintain precise financial and contractual documentation in alignment with company policies
• Exercise sound judgment in providing contract interpretations, offering contractual advice and guidance to the business team to ensure unwavering compliance with contractual requirements
• Ensure the swift review of contract modifications, communicating changes and notices promptly to the business team
• Support initiatives to secure all required approvals before submitting contracts for execution
• Demonstrate a nuanced awareness of U.S. Space Force organizations, echelons of command, and their relationship to NTSSC customers and stakeholders, programmatic goals, objectives, and mission requirements
• Showcase strong writing, editing, analytical, and team facilitation skills
• Possess excellent written and oral interpersonal skills, coupled with meticulous attention to detail
• Articulate concepts, plans, and proposals with precision through strong verbal and written communication skills
• Display strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant job experience within the cyber security arena

Security Clearance

Must be a U.S. Citizen. A high-level Department of Defense active security clearance may be required. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to government information.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. The candidate must have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and that may include lifting to thirty pounds, as necessary.
