About The Team

We are the FIS Embedded Finance team, and our mission is to enable developers across all verticals to imagine, create and monetize financial products to profoundly transform the way the entire financial industry consumes services. Today, it’s difficult for many businesses to build the financial products they imagine. Whether that’s launching a new credit or debit card, a savings account, a lending business, or anything else – there are barriers in the way, that require excessive time and effort. We make it trivially easy for businesses to compliantly offer financial products, and innovate on their key differentiators rather than spend all their time building and maintaining financial infrastructure.

What You Will Be Doing

You will plan and manage application development and client delivery activities for an assigned application portfolio that will include complex software applications or components of large and complex software applications.

General Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designs and develops software product applications for market sale or large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use.
  • Manages full software development lifecycle including testing, implementation, and auditing.
  • Performs product design, bug verification and beta support which may require research and analysis.
  • Resolves critical issues and contributes to the business unit/area development.
  • Manages work efforts of managers/supervisors with responsibility for hiring, firing, performance appraisals and pay reviews.
  • Identifies and allocates technical resources, e.g., programmers, business analysts to client projects within Development. Includes a mix of FTEs assigned to the development organization and purchased resources from other lines of business.
  • Forecasts resource needs based on an analysis of both portfolio and projected client spend.
  • Maximizes both utilization and profitability of assigned team of resources’ billable time.
  • Ensures base applications meet appropriate quality standards.
  • Adheres to the departmental application development and client delivery process standards.
  • Provides input on product direction to product managers.
  • Coordinates with industry compliance consultants and product managers to verify applications meet regulatory compliance.
  • Ensures proper application of technology.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of experience in similar environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience

  • Skill in leading, supervising and managing effectively under pressure
  • Ability to be comfortable interacting with executive level clients

FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $185,390.00 – $311,460.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
