Purpose of Role

To provide support to the Nursing Department for setting up, maintaining and monitoring clinical placements.

About This Opportunity

Joining our Nursing team, the Clinical Coordinator, Nursing will be responsible for the following:

Provide support for clinical experiences in the undergraduate and graduate nursing programs.

  • Create Google Forms for preceptor and clinical site selection for NUR NUR561, NUR562,
  • NUR550, 551, 561 and 630; Maintain the spreadsheet from this form, updating throughout the
  • semester as changes to sites and preceptors are made
  • Communicate with the Business office regarding new contracts, request copy of COI to new
  • clinical sites.
  • Process onboarding paperwork for Catholic Health, Kaleida, Roswell, U of R, VA and ECMC for NP
  • Students going to these sites for clinical rotation including computer access forms for students
  • Maintain Google doc of preceptor information and preceptor notebook each semester
  • Maintain Google docs to track health compliance of clinical students for all clinical courses
  • Populate clinical lab groups for all clinical courses.
  • Maintain current documentation and database of RN licenses for all nursing students
  • Maintain individual MS AGPCNP and MS AGACNP digital student files each semester
  • Send out preceptor packets with agreement letter, course information and evaluation forms.
  • Send W-9 form to preceptors at the start of each semester along with instructions on how to
  • properly upload through secure portal link or address of Business Office
  • Process purchase requisitions for preceptors at the end of each semester based on the hours
  • they precepted
  • Send thank-you letters to preceptors
  • Maintain Google doc spreadsheet to track MS AGPCNP data, including clinical placements,
  • clinical hours, certification exam status, and post-graduation employment.
  • Affiliation agreements and clinical contracts for both graduate and undergraduate courses:
  • Prepare and send out clinical contracts and affiliation agreements
  • Maintain files for each clinical course with appropriate affiliation agreements and contracts each
  • semester
  • Ensure that preceptor agreements are signed and filed
  • Provide support to the Department of Nursing:
  • Order name badges for clinical students, faculty, staff, and work study workers
  • Maintain thesis committee Google doc
  • Maintain Google site of course syllabi for each semester
  • Other adminisBack up the Administrative Assistant for other nursing departmental duties:
  • Backup Administrative Assistant with answering phones and scheduling appointments.
  • Collect and file student paperwork and maintain graduate nursing student files
  • Maintain student databases and files for current, inactive and graduated students from all
  • graduate nursing programs
  • Monitor and arrange for repair of departmental equipment, including copy and fax machine, as
  • needed
  • Coordinate maintenance requests
  • Prepare outgoing mail, deliver and retrieve mail from mailroom and distribute incoming mail
  • Deliver documents to Dean, Business office, Registration, Academic Advisement and Health
  • Office
  • Order departmental and equipment supplies as needed to maintain appropriate stock levels
  • Maintain departmental bulletin board outside DS 232 office suite
  • Assemble recruitment packets and materials and maintain supply levels of recruitment materials
  • Perform other clerical duties requested by Department chair and nursing faculty, such as: filing,
  • copying, print shop and publications orders, ordering AV equipment, arranging rooms for
  • presentations/meetings, placing food orders, and completing purchase requisitions
  • Perform duties of FT Administrative Assistant for undergraduate programs, providing coverage
  • as needed.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Ability to use Google suite and/or Microsoft suite of products specifically spreadsheets

Preferred Candidate

  • Associate-prepared registered nurse with a knowledge of the healthcare systems in the region
