Summary

Position Purpose

Assists the recruiting area in meeting IS staffing needs. Sources, screens, and recruits candidates for professional, managerial, and all related technical positions in the company. Works with management to define candidate qualifications. Ensures compliance with federal contracts, labor laws, and corporate recruiting policies and procedures.

What You’ll Do

Source, identify, and screen candidates for primarily non-exempt and entry-level technical positions. Conduct pre-screen interviews with candidates using a provided script. Manage candidate communications to include paperwork, scheduling interviews, testing, travel, and background checks. Ensure candidates selected for interview and/or hire move through the system appropriately.

Participate in community outreach by attending job fairs and university campus recruiting events. Assist in the development of recruiting materials, including brochures, recruiting displays, and giveaway items. Assist with other recruiting support activities as assigned.

Assist management with the conversion of temporary and contract workers to a permanent employment status by completing necessary paperwork and ordering background checks.

To Qualify for This Position, You’ll Need

  • A bachelor's degree OR an associate's and 2 years job related work experience OR 4 years job related work experience
  • 2 years full life cycle recruiting experience
  • Ability to source for technical positions and an understanding of technical terms and programming languages
  • Ability to perform sourcing of passive candidates by using creative forms of online search (Boolean, social networking, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, or influence others
  • Ability to handle confidential or sensitive information with discretion
  • Current knowledge of applicable federal/state laws relating to employment (Title VII, ADA, EEO)
  • Good judgment skills. Strategic planning skills. Analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated proficiency in spelling, punctuation, and grammar. Ability to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.
  • Microsoft Office.
