Job Title: HR Intern

Reports to: Talent Specialist

Dotted Line to: Yes – HR Director

Key Internal Partners: HR team, Employees in all departments

Key External Partners: Candidates, external vendors

Job Summary:

The HR Intern provides support to the Human Resources team reporting directly to the Talent Specialist. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities related to recruitment, candidate management, and administrative support within the HR department. The HR Intern will play a crucial role in managing job postings, candidate communication, and interview coordination, while also providing essential administrative support to the team. The HR Intern will develop skills in Communication and Onboarding and Recruiting.

Job Responsibilities & Tasks:

  • Assist Talent Specialist with recruitment support
  • Collaborating with hiring managers to understand job requirements and develop job descriptions.
  • Post jobs on external and internal feeds, review resumes, phone screen candidates, schedule interviews, prepare interview packets, and participate in in-person interviews as needed.
  • Providing support for on-site interview logistics.
  • Scheduling intakes for new hires and drafting offer letters.
  • Aid in coordinating pre-employment background investigations and drug screens.
  • Supporting the onboarding process for new hires.
  • Reaching out to new candidates who have recently updated their resumes to gauge their interest in available roles.
  • Data Tracking and Analysis
  • Analyzing HR metrics and preparing reports on key HR performance indicators.
  • Analyzing and revising the job posting analytics to ensure effective spending in the right market and to maximize application generation.
  • Administrative Support
  • Providing general administrative support to the HR team, including scheduling meetings, and maintaining HR documentation.
  • Partner with HR team on communication projects
  • Assist with internal and external communications
  • Document new procedures and update existing procedures as needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

EDUCATION

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.

Skills

  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles and procedures
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to operate standard office equipment
  • Knowledge of computer software such as MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to quickly learn and navigate other computer systems
  • Attention to detail & strong problem-solving skills
  • Strong sense of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations
  • High sense of urgency and flexibility
  • Strong customer service skills and a collaborative approach

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Must be able to work in normal office conditions
