This position will have remote and hybrid workplace options available but will still be required to report to the listed address at the discretion of the supervisor and based on business need.

This position will be hybrid and required to work in the office at least 1 day per week.

The Office of the Future of Work (OFW) works to understand, prepare for, and develop effective policy and programmatic solutions to support Coloradans in today and tomorrow’s changing economy. As part of this work, OFW oversees two critical initiatives: the State Apprenticeship Agency (referred to as Apprenticeship Colorado) and the Digital Equity Literacy and Inclusion Initiative. The SAA promotes and supports Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAPs) in Colorado, and has total functional responsibility over statewide operations, procedures, and activities as they relate to RAPs. The OFW administers federally funded grants to increase career and education pathways for job seekers and students to high-wage careers, with an emphasis on historically excluded populations. The Digital Equity, Literacy and Inclusion Initiative which works across state agencies and community partners to close the digital divide through the implementation of the state’s digital access plan and a statewide Digital Navigator Program. The OFW is also responsible for raising awareness of the future of work trends through regular presentations, articles, and research projects.

The OFW Program Assistant Is a Key Member Within The Colorado Department Of Labor And Employment’s (CDLE) Office Of The Future Of Work, Providing High-quality Executive, Administrative, And Operations Support For a Growing Office. The OFW Program Assistant Reports To The OFW Operations Manager. This Position Provides Critical Administrative Support For The Office Of The Future Of Work Including And Not Limited To

  • Calendar and scheduling support for the OFW Director
  • OFW Internal and External Event and Meeting Coordination and Support
  • Coordinating travel arrangements and supporting with the reimbursement process
  • OFW Team Administrative Support
  • Organizational Services Team Support

Four (4) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience providing executive level administrative support (i.e. coordinating and scheduling meetings, travel arrangements, facilitation and arrangement of in-person and virtual meetings, etc.).
  • Experience in record keeping, expenditure tracking, and budget management and forecasting.
  • Familiarity with state/CDLE fiscal, procurement, and technology regulations and processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required to facilitate meetings, write and distribute internal newsletters, and collaborate with all members of the OFW team.
  • Willingness to follow, implement, and enforce OFW and CDLE internal processes and procedures.
  • Experience handling and protecting confidential and sensitive information.
