The Executive Assistant will support the Department Chair and Chief Administrative Officer for the Department of Anesthesia, Critical Care, and Pain Medicine at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. This role will be fully onsite in Boston, MA. The department provides leading-edge anesthesia services in various medical settings at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, focusing on compassionate, world-class care and innovative research in anesthesia, critical care, and pain treatment.

Job Description:

Provide complex administrative support and oversee projects in support of the Department Chief. Implement systems and procedures to efficiently manage the administrative processes for the office of the Chief.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Represent Department Chief to high-level internal and external constituents. Manage sensitive issues with organization-wide visibility.
  • Balance individual, management, and organizational needs while finding solutions to complex problems.
  • Gather information, research matters, and write complex memos, letters, and reports. Handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Act as a resource on faculty matters and manage confidential salary issues.
  • Generate and review reports for validity and accuracy.

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • 5-8 years related work experience required.
  • Advanced skills with Microsoft applications and web-based applications.
