RN PreOp PACU

USPI Hyde Park Surgery Center is seeking a motivated RN PreOp PACU to join our team. We have 3 OR rooms. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in ENT, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Spine. Position requires weekdays only - no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

Job Summary: Pre-Op responsibilities included but are not limited to admitting the patient to the clinical area and providing nursing care to the preoperative patient, as well as developing a nursing care plan specifically designed for the individual patient. Post-Operative Care Unit (PACU) responsibilities include assessing the patient's condition and readiness for discharge.

Employees may be cross-trained in other clinical areas and may be expected to perform duties other than their normal ones as staffing and patient needs change.

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Texas Nursing License
• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS
• Minimum of 2 years' experience in Pre-Op/PACU
• Possess the ability to work independently and prioritize responsibilities
• Possess the ability to deal tactfully with patients, families, physicians, and employees
• Knowledgeable of policies and procedures specific to pre-operative and PACU
• Clinically proficient in pre-op/ PACU nursing skills
• Physically and emotionally capable of performing responsibilities of position
