We are currently hiring an Inventory & Cost Analyst to help us manage and improve the financial backbone of our product development and inventory processes. This person will work cross-functionally with multiple teams, combining analytical skills with a strong understanding of budgets and controls. Apparel or product costing experience is a plus, but not required—we will provide hands-on training to the right candidate with a love for numbers and a drive for progress.

We are currently hiring an Inventory & Cost Analyst to help us manage and improve the financial backbone of our product development and inventory processes. This person will work cross-functionally with multiple teams, combining analytical skills with a strong understanding of budgets and controls. Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate go-live dates with retail partners, ensuring product uploads happen 5+ weeks in advance to launch in sync with Kiyonna.com
- Monitor inventory movement and cutting ticket milestones; adjust dates, quantities, or cancel pending cuts as needed
- Audit sales, returns, and stock levels to inform markdown strategies or price increases
- Collaborate with Finance to manage rerun planning using a global rolling budget
- Reconcile actual COGS vs. estimated costs each quarter and recommend pricing updates
- Conduct inventory audits with the Shipping team within 21 days of analysis
- Review return rates, customer comments, and product reviews across all sales channels; work with Product Development to suggest fit or design improvements
- Track category counts in relation to spend, velocity, and margin to help optimize future assortments
- Order fabric in advance for proven bestsellers and coordinate terms with Production
- Review accessory and third-party inventory monthly for movement and margin
- Analyze leftover fabric for possible use in future cuts
- Evaluate shipping and return shipping costs, especially internationally (e.g., Canada), and factor them into extended cost analyses
- Help set and track targets for raw materials and finished goods inventory levels
- Work cross-functionally to communicate product launches and line changes to customer service, shipping, and marketing teams
- Advanced Excel skills required (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas); in-house training provided where needed—we're all Excel nerds here
- Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
- Excellent communicator and collaborator
- 3+ years experience in cost accounting, inventory analysis, or financial planning preferred, but not necessary if underlying skills and aptitude are present
- Solid understanding of budgets, forecasting, and cost controls
- This is an on-site position based in Anaheim, California
