POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Manufacturing Sales – USA leads ECCO’s efforts in maintaining and expanding relationships with large, multilocation customers by ensuring continued loyalty amongst existing wholesale distributors in the US and developing National Account business for ECCO Manufacturing across the USA. This role will also be responsible for the coordination of market intelligence with the Regional Directors of Sales Branch Operations to achieve maximum market share across the US.
The Director of Manufacturing Sales – USA will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism. All actions and decisions of Director of Manufacturing Sales – USA will be considered carefully with the intent of fulfilling Company objectives established by management, and as appropriate including customer satisfaction and employee job satisfaction.

Pay: $130,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
Schedule: 8-hour shift
Ability to Commute: Everett, WA 98201 (Required)

Key responsibilities
General Duties
- Keep the Vice President informed of all pertinent information via email or personal meetings regarding:
- New Wholesalers opening (mergers, sales, etc.).
- Changes in principals, managers, etc. in our industry.
- New wholesalers marketing HVAC products.
- Competitive pricing in each geographic area.
- New trends taking place in the HVAC & Building Products industry.
- Liaise with Credit Manager regarding accounts receivable (A/R) Ageing Report (monitor).
- Keep the credit department informed of all transactions not consistent with the Policy and Procedure Manual, i.e., delayed billing, consigned inventory, quoted jobs, etc. as approved by the Vice President.
- Ensure all customer complaints regarding ECCO manufactured products are handled promptly and professionally.
- Participate in yearly inventory counts as required by the Vice President.
- Meet or exceed sales and gross margin targets.
- Plan, schedule, and prepare for regular sales meetings with your sales personnel to regularly monitoring current market conditions pertaining to pricing, competitor activity, customer service issues and analysis of sales trends with specific customer needs.
- Prepare sales and expense budgets for your territories for annual sales meetings with the Vice President.
- Review individual expense budgets with your staff on a quarterly basis.
- Ensure anomalies or variances from budgets are examined and dealt with appropriately.
- Create lists and reports of slow-moving inventory and create promotional campaigns designed on promoting the sales of or depleting the inventory of these products.
- Conduct regular sales meetings with other ECCO Manufacturing departments to share information on the direction our company is heading while informing of market opportunities and challenges.
- Oversee the continued development and execution of training programs and presentations to assist our customers in learning our industry and the use of our product.
- Ensure Sales and Marketing staff are accountable for their roles in new product development process.
- Attend and prepare accordingly for regular meetings with Marketing department to assist in prioritizing and providing direction for various marketing projects that pertain to ECCO Manufacturing objectives.
- Communicate effectively with the Marketing Manager and Manufacturing Sales Administrator to ensure that ECCO Manufacturing’s pricing is accurate and reflective of the market conditions in your territories.
- Attend and prepare accordingly for regular meetings with ECCO Manufacturing’s Technical Services Manager to assist in prioritizing and providing information for our R&D department’s project list by presenting researched analysis of projected sales forecasts, feedback results from customer surveys, and any other information that will assist R&D personnel with their assigned projects.
- Assess the marketplace and submit recommendations for new or improved products that could be manufactured by ECCO Manufacturing, forward approved recommendations to R&D Division for examination and development.
- Participate in new product development meetings which focus on new products for our industry and OEM opportunities.
- Stay current with sales and marketing strategies as they relate to the HVAC industry by attending applicable seminars and training courses.
- Due to the dynamic nature of this Company, the duties and responsibilities of the Regional Sales Director may reasonably change from time to time.
- Experience overseeing $30M+ revenue OR experience in a Manufacturing Manager role, or Sales Management role with any ECCO Supply branch.
- A degree or college diploma in administration, accounting, business, engineering or management.
- Leadership experience either with ECCO or any previous employer.
- Applied knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems.
- Strong track record of exceeding company sales targets in a complex sales environment.
- Proven ability to influence and develop employees to achieve objectives with a team approach.
- Business acumen (sound judgement, managerial perspective and basic business understanding).
- Willingness to continually upgrade skills via education, coaching or other training opportunities.
