Department: Fiber - Fiber Network Design and Implementation Services
Location: Lubbock, TX
We are seeking a OSP Engineer I-Entry level. This position will perform field engineering and onsite project management in collaboration with the JSI design team, client OSP representative, and construction contractor to produce outside plant FTTx build-outs. This role will include scope definition, construction planning, design reviews and changes, as-built documentation,n and permitting of proposed new construction for buried, underground, and aerial outside plant facilities.
Training will be offered to the right candidate who meets minimum requirements.
Qualifications
Education:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited College is required.
- If experience is accepted in lieu of a degree, a high school diploma or GED is required.
- Project Management/project coordination experience.
- Working knowledge of GIS, including ArcGIS/QGIS/Google Earth, etc.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or other CAD-based software.
- Must possess working knowledge of basic office software, such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Excel.
- Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for Telecom/FFTx OSP construction.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs and Adobe Acrobat.
- Highly organized, self-starter, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written interpersonal communication skills.
- Superior time management and strong attention to detail.
- Must perform repetitive physical motions of bending, standing, climbing, and walking on uneven terrain. (You will be exposed to various weather conditions)
Work Schedule:
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
