Responsibilities

The laboratory of Dr. Kim is seeking a highly motivated Special Project Associate II to join our Radiation Oncology team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Biology, Cancer Biology, or a related field. Expectations include carrying out lab procedures, experiments and performing data analysis. Examples include but are not limited to cell culture, PCR, western blotting, microscopy, flow cytometry, etc. Candidate must also be willing to work with rodent animal models for managing colonies, husbandry, and genotyping. Prior animal handling experience is preferred.

Our research lab focuses on understanding epigenetic regulation of T cell functions in cancer and the clinical evidence for carbon ion therapy.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required. Bachelor's degree in Biology, Cancer Biology or a related field preferred. Experience required in lab project or research work in an educational or work setting. Candidate must have a solid understanding of lab techniques, equipment, and safety.
