Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a background in technical accounting areas, including fixed assets, accruals, prepaid expenses, leases, and other similar functions. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the production of monthly reporting sourced from data warehouse to generate Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Solid experience with Accounts Payable (AP) processes and systems.
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors.
  • Monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and provide financial insights.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc analyses as required.
  • Crosstrain and serve as backup to other team members as needed.
  • Aid in the development and implementation of a centralized accounting function to streamline processes and improve efficiency across the organization.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting by standardizing accounting practices and procedures.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 3+ years of experience in accounting within the manufacturing industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office systems, familiarity with ODOO ERP a plus.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and technical accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
