Assembler

The Assembler position works with conventional equipment and hand tools to build stage deck platforming, acoustical panels, and other platforming equipment.

Description

• Apply knowledge of machine shop theory and procedures, shop mathematics, machinability of materials and layout techniques
• Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, and sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished workpiece, sequence of operations, and setup requirements
• Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines and tables
• Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications using the appropriate precision measuring instruments
• Perform First Article Inspection as applicable
• Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly using jigs, fixtures, hand tools, and power tools
• Verify dimension and alignment of assembly, using appropriate measuring instruments
• Follow all safety procedures according to safety manual
• Continuously display working knowledge of company products and how they are manufactured
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Other duties as assigned

Salary

$23 - $24 per hour
