The Director of Equity (GENIUS Network) is a grant-funded leadership position through 2029, supported by the California Department of Education and the State System of Support. In collaboration with the Los Angeles and Kings County Offices of Education, the Director will guide the implementation of the GENIUS Network grant across California. This role focuses on partnering with local educational agencies (LEAs) to identify barriers and opportunities, implement targeted actions, and address racial disparities in educational access and outcomes. The Director will also coordinate existing resources to support educator preparation, recruitment, retention, and professional development while monitoring progress toward Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) goals. Priority support will be given to schools receiving Equity Multiplier Funding. Education: -Master’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education is required. Experience: -In management positions with progressively increasing responsibility and professional experience in the field of education. -In staff development and/or in-service training experience. -In supervision of district site or county office program operations and activities, including the supervision of certificated and classified staff. This must include serving in an administrative position with primary responsibility of a school site or program specifically designed to serve students. Credentials: -A valid California Administrative Services Credential is required.
