Reports to: Director of Human Resources

Atlas Tech, a rapidly growing government contractor dedicated to supporting the U.S. military and federal agencies, is seeking a detail-oriented and driven Human Resource Coordinator to join our Human Resources team. This position will work closely with the HR Administrator and Payroll & Benefits Administrator and will serve as a backup for payroll processing.

This is a hybrid position based at our North Charleston, SC headquarters, offering flexibility, professional growth, and the opportunity to make an impact in a collaborative environment.

You Will:

  • Provide day-to-day administrative support across all core HR functions.
  • Respond to Team Member questions related to benefits, policies, leave, and general HR matters.
  • Maintain personnel records, track training compliance, and assist with document audits.
  • Coordinate and support onboarding and offboarding tasks in the Applicant Tracking System (ClearCompany) and Human Resource Information System (Paylocity).
  • Help facilitate new hire orientation and I-9/E-Verify processing.
  • Serve as the backup to the Payroll & Benefits Administrator for bi-weekly payroll processing, including data entry, validation, and audits.
  • Maintain accuracy and confidentiality of all HR and payroll records.
  • Support compliance efforts by keeping documentation and postings up to date.
  • Contribute to HR projects that improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
  • Coordinate Atlas Tech’s Motivational Awards Program and Ambassador Program, managing communications, nominations, and recognition efforts.
  • Serve on the Morale and Recreation Committee, supporting employee engagement, event planning, and company culture initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications and Marketing Coordinator to gather and share HR-related content for company-wide quarterly virtual meetings.
  • Participate in internal initiatives and team events, bringing positive energy and a team-first mindset.

You Have:

  • Payroll processing experience is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an HR support or coordination role.
  • Working knowledge of HR and payroll practices, including recordkeeping, tax withholdings, and compliance.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll systems (Paylocity strongly preferred).
  • Experience with an ATS (ClearCompany experience a plus).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on service and collaboration.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
  • A proactive, team-first mindset with a passion for employee engagement.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft 365 environment (including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams).
