Job Title: Associate Producer About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp, creative, and resourceful Associate Producer to join our production team. You’ll play a central role in crafting compelling interview content, monitoring / giving editing notes, shaping the flow of episodes, scheduling, organizing, and ensuring everything from guest research to post-production runs smoothly. If you are in the know with internet culture, are creative, have a good gut for what works on social media, and love staying ahead of the curve—this might be for you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run of Show Development: Collaborate on building and updating the Run of Show for interviews and episodes—ensuring tight structure, flow, and purpose.
  • Guest Research: Generate smart, engaging, and unique questions tailored to each guest. Curate and compile relevant links, bios, interviews, and past work to brief the team and host.
  • Information Diet & Current Events: Create an effective information diet for yourself and other co-workers, i.e. a digest of topical news, viral moments, and culturally relevant stories that align with upcoming guests or themes.
  • AI Fluency: Use AI tools for research, copywriting, editing assistance, or brainstorming—whatever gets the job done smarter.
  • Vendor & Creative Liaison: Coordinate with editors, designers, sound engineers, and other creatives to keep the production timeline moving forward.
  • Editing & Feedback: Watch rough cuts and deliver detailed, actionable editing notes with a strong sense of pacing, humor, and tone. Experience cutting compelling social media clips is a bonus.
  • Social Media Savvy: Assist with social media strategy, including writing captions, suggesting clips, and understanding platform trends (IG, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, X, etc.).
  • Sense of Humor: Bring a sharp, irreverent, and self-aware sense of humor that fits our show’s culture. Timing and tone matter.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in a content, media, or production role
  • Experience in a podcast, YouTube, or interview-based environment
  • Experience with editing tools (Premiere, Final Cut, or similar)
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Up-to-date with social trends, creators, internet culture, and media
  • Collaborative, curious, and confident enough to take initiative
  • Calm under pressure and able to pivot when needed

Bonus Points For...

  • Experience working in creator-led or talent-driven environment
  • A meme folder that’s better than ours
  • Knowing how to make boring things funny—or awkward things meaningful
  • Familiarity with scripting, storyboarding, or segment planning
  • Being a good listener
  • Being a Jack/Jackie of all trades
