Specimen Processing Specialist

Job Summary

Performs a variety of general and routine duties involved in the pre- and post-analytic portions of lab test processing. This includes the drawing, collection, and processing of blood and other specimens from positively identified patients and their corresponding required information. Records, processes, or otherwise enters and manages necessary patient and specimen related information following established methods and procedures.

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
• Classes in general sciences (Preferred)

Experience

• 1 Year experience performing phlebotomy and specimen processing (Required)
