Come join the Tanasbourne Operations Team! This is a full-time 37.5 hrs/week position. We are looking for a closing Housekeeper to help keep our store clean and safe! Great benefits, 401K and 30% staff discount.

About the role: Performs housekeeping tasks and maintains whole store cleanliness. Provides exceptional customer service and contributes to a positive and collaborative team environment.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains whole store cleanliness, including sales floor, restrooms, deli seating area, offices, hallways, stairs and staff break room.
  • Cleans break room refrigerators, includes composting outdated staff food, cleaning containers and disposing of items according to company policy.
  • Empties trash, recycling and compost throughout entire store.
  • Keeps parking lot clean of debris and trash, including bottle return areas.
  • Sorts clean laundry upon arrival to store when needed.
  • Sweeps, vacuums, dusts, scrubs, mops, washes, operates steam cleaners, dishwashers and other equipment.
  • Restocks deli seating area, restroom and cleaning supplies.
  • Performs deep cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Handles damaged and spoiled product according to company policy.
  • Maintains cleanliness, organization and rotation of all areas, products and supplies.
  • Understands and complies with specific shift guidelines, tasks and responsibilities.
  • May assist when needed with bagging groceries using company taught best practices.
  • Demonstrates familiarity with products throughout store.
  • Notifies department manager or Manager On Duty of any situations relating to customer service, safety, productivity, security.

What you Bring as a Candidate:

  • Previous customer service, food service, retail or grocery experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Operations department / Housekeeper experience preferred.

Physical and Environmental Work Space: Work occurs in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise level, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures.
