Senior Lab Technician

Job Title: Lab Technician – Senior

Location: Santa Rosa, California

Duration: 6 Months

Work Type: 100% Onsite (3rd shift)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Lab Technician to join our team. This role mirrors the responsibilities of the 3rd shift Lab Technician and will be based entirely onsite at our Santa Rosa facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemistry, a passion for laboratory work, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Adhere to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to perform laboratory analyses.
• Accurately identify and process analytical samples, ensuring proper sequencing for each batch.
• Acquire and process data from instruments such as GC/MS and LC/MS/MS, generating appropriate reports.
• Perform initial reviews of analytical data in accordance with assay-specific SOPs.
• Transcribe or upload results into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) for final review and certification.
• Maintain accurate Chain of Custody (COC) documentation for all sample batches.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and escalate any issues promptly.
• Uphold and promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience in an analytical laboratory setting.
• Demonstrated ability to safely handle biological specimens, chemicals, instruments, and laboratory equipment.
