Major Areas of Responsibility include but are not limited to:

Patient Care

• Manage patient flow and prepare exam rooms.
• Record vital signs and medical histories.
• Assist during treatment procedures and take dental x-rays.
• Maintain instruments and equipment.
• Instruct patients in oral hygiene.

Commitment to Quality

• Ensure excellent patient experience and quality outcomes.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development.

General Office Duties

• Schedule appointments and manage patient registrations.
• Handle payments and insurance forms.
• Maintain office supplies and equipment.

Knowledge

• Understand dental assisting practices and office procedures.

Abilities

• Work physically and communicate effectively.
• Collaborate as a team member and manage clerical duties.

Other Qualifications

• HS/GED, X-Ray License, and experience as a Dental Assistant.

Specialized Additional Duties

DA I:

• Perform basic supportive procedures and operate dental radiography equipment.

DA II:

• Mouth-mirror inspections and applying bleaching agents.

DA III:

• Cord retraction and final impressions for indirect restorations.

DA IV:

• Conduct oral health assessments and perform advanced dental procedures.
