Position Overview: The Network & Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, management, and security the organization's network and infrastructure. This role encompasses both on-premises and cloud-based networking, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across a diverse environment, including physical locations, data centers, and Azure Cloud. The Network Engineer plays a crucial role in supporting the company's operations by maintaining a reliable and efficient network environment.

- Network Design and Planning - Design and implement network solutions to meet business requirements. Plan network architecture, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks. Conduct capacity planning and network optimization.
- Implementation and Configuration - Configure and deploy network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and access points. Manage IP address allocation, VLAN configuration, and DNS settings. Implement network policies and procedures.
- Network Monitoring and Management - Use network monitoring and alerting tools to understand network traffic, establish baselines, and proactively identify potential issue Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as updates, patches, and backups. Maintain up to date network documentation and diagrams. Security and Compliance - Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards.
- Troubleshooting and Support - Diagnose and resolve complex network issues. Provide technical support and guidance to IT staff and end-users. Perform root cause analysis for network incidents. Documentation and Reporting - Maintain network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and procedures. Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and changes. Document changes to the network infrastructure.
- Collaboration and Communication - Work closely with other IT team members to support overall IT infrastructure. Communicate effectively with non-technical staff to understand and address their network needs. Participate in IT projects and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Disaster Recovery and Backup - Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for network systems. Ensure regular backups are conducted and tested. Coordinate recovery efforts in the event of a network failure or data loss.
- Technical Knowledge - Proficiency in network protocols, routing, and switching. Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and software. Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Problem-Solving Skills - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Ability to quickly diagnose and resolve network issues. Experience in performing root cause analysis for network incidents.
- Professional Attributes - Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, or similar.
- Network Uptime - Percentage of network availability and uptime.
- Incident Response Time - Average time to respond to and resolve network incidents.
- Security Compliance - Number of security incidents and compliance with security protocols.
- User Satisfaction - Feedback from users regarding network performance and support.
- Project Completion - Timely completion of network projects and upgrades.
