Description

Position Summary:

The Repair technician is responsible for repairing any issues on fiberglass hulls and decks, and small parts.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct repairs for final gel coat application and match new finish to existing gel coat.
  • Spray gel coat, wet sand, and buff to match new finish.
  • Spray nonskid gel coat.
  • Repair nonskid gel coat (sand and diamond pattern).
  • Must be able to follow all safety rules and hazardous material guidelines.
  • Able to follow directions and have attention to detail.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be able to always keep work area and nearby area clean.
  • All other duties as might be required.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with different types of sandpaper grits.
  • Experience in gel coat repair and/or auto body repair.
  • Some dexterity.
  • Ability to work with others.

Physical Demands

  • Bending, kneeling (squatting), lifting, and twisting continuously throughout the day.
  • Being able to stand/walk for up to or if not longer 10 hours each day.
  • Have the ability to move heavy objects.
