
Responsibilities
About the team: Our TikTok Search Operation team plays a key role in improving TikTok users' search experience by investigating user feedback, evaluating search results, analyzing data, etc. In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for search evaluation, investigation, and other search-related business requirements and provide guidance to deliver all key project milestones and outcomes to optimize search results-related strategies.
- Work independently as the evaluation and investigation project designer, deeply understand the business, and be responsible for the overall process of the project, including planning, implementation and providing high-quality evaluation analysis to help with product optimization.
- Work closely with PM and RD to elaborate and optimize relevant evaluation standards or guidelines and output project SOPs to ensure that the evaluation meets expectations.
- Work closely with multiple business partners to ensure business metrics improvement and workflow optimization.
- Willing to work with sensitive issues that include child exploitation, a variety of religious and political views, violence, and adult & sexual content.
- Other Ad-hoc and relevant projects as assigned.
- Optimization iterations such as search intent recognition, word segmentation, recall and sorting to improve search conversion and traffic revenue.
- Collect, analyze and locate problems, formulate improvement plans and priorities, and follow up and measure improvement effects.
- Familiar with search-related businesses, and understand search-related product functions and strategies.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above.
- In-depth understanding of search engines on TikTok or similar social media platforms.
- Experience in the following: search, content evaluation, or content moderation.
- Manage cross-functional operational efforts, working with data delivery, engineering, and product teams to ensure the smooth rollout of projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the IT industry will be preferred.
- Excellent data analysis and communication skills. Project management experience will be preferred.
- Flexible, adaptable, proactive and self-motivated, and demonstrated ability to perform well in a rapidly changing environment.

Job Information
The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $88,000 - $151,111 annually. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.
