Commercial Groundskeeper

Job Summary: The Commercial Groundskeeper is responsible for the daily upkeep of the commercial properties to ensure an aesthetically-pleasing curb appeal and overall look of the properties. This includes on-going cleaning and removal of trash from our commercial properties to maintain the highest standard of service, cleanliness, and safety.

Essential Functions:

1. Demonstrates Company Core Values.
2. Responsible for picking up grounds at assigned properties.
3. Responsible for the daily/on-going tasks required to maintain the grounds; removal of trash/debris on walkways and parking lots around the entire premises.
4. Helps with snow and ice removal on walkways and parking lots by specified times.
5. Completion of property projects as assigned (property clean-up, removal of abandoned items, etc.)
6. Alerts manager if trash removal service needs addressed or is overflowing.
7. Reasonable and reliable attendance and timeliness when reporting to work and completing work.
8. Interacts well with others.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience/Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent.

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Experience in commercial grounds, light maintenance, or related field preferred.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, stay organized, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to safely operate gas-powered equipment.

Special Demands:

• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug and medical screen.
• Requires the ability to withstand physical activity and navigate the property to include; walking, bending, twisting, climbing, reaching, flexibility, mobility and standing for extended periods of time.
• Ability to regularly work in weather conditions (heat, rain, snow, ice, etc.).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Maintaining a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
