Electrical Engineering Summer Internship

Will assist the Controls Engineer with improvement tasks while observing and learning the day to day duties of an Electrical Assembly department. Aid in the standardization of our Electrical scymatics. This role will be based out of our Rockford Logistics plant location.

• Uses established specifications and standards to transform initial rough product designs into prints using SolidWorks electrical.
• Provides engineering support to team members in the manufacturing process. Revises designs and drawings as required.
• Provides guidance and support to electrical assembly.
• Specifies system components or direct modification of products by working with Controls Engineer to spec out electrical components.
• Develops specifications for purchased parts and uses Solidworks electrical design.
• Demonstrates the Caldwell Company Values in all work activities.

Minimum Education

Enrolled in Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering or design or equivalent.

Minimum Work Experience

Two years of experience in an electrical design curriculum. Experience designing and revising using AutoCad, SolidWorks electrical or other automated design software.

Minimum Skill Requirements

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including excel and a basic comfort level with technology.
• Proven ability to work alone or on a team on a broad variety of projects.
• Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
• Knowledge of the rigging and/or crane industries a plus
