Key Responsibilities

  • Lead on-site installation, repair, and maintenance of a wide range of glass products, including:
    • Storefronts, curtain walls, mirrors, shower enclosures, windows, and custom projects
  • Accurately measure, cut, and prepare glass using industry-standard tools and techniques
  • Supervise and support job site operations to ensure safety, timeliness, and precision
  • Provide hands-on training and mentorship to junior technicians to promote skill development
  • Communicate clearly with clients, contractors, and internal staff to coordinate expectations and deliverables
  • Take ownership of project outcomes from start to finish, resolving any site challenges
  • Perform thorough post-installation inspections and ensure high-quality finishes
  • Maintain and oversee proper care and inventory of tools, equipment, and vehicles
  • Uphold and model all company safety procedures and OSHA standards

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in glass/glazing installation and repair
  • Proven experience training, mentoring, and supervising other team members
  • Strong proficiency in reading blueprints, drawings, and technical specs
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable using email, smartphone apps, and digital job documentation tools
  • Physically capable of lifting heavy materials and working in various conditions
  • Must have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Local travel required within the Chicagoland area

Schedule
