Position Overview
The Member Retention Liaison (MRL) at Verda Health Plan plays a crucial role in enhancing patient experience and driving growth and retention initiatives within the healthcare delivery system. This position serves as the primary contact for prospective and existing patients, collaborating with various teams to implement strategies that promote Medicare managed care plans and improve patient engagement. The MRL is responsible for onboarding new patients, conducting outreach, and help with coordinating events that foster community relationships and support patient retention efforts.
This position reports to the AVP of Member Experience.

Responsibilities
- Exhibit superior customer service skills with internal and external customers.
- Implement retention strategies related to Medicare enrollment periods and beneficiary conversions.
- Manage outreach efforts and track outcomes.
- Coordinate and help with new patient orientations and ensure awareness of services offered.
- Execute onboarding processes for new patients, including benefit explanations and help with understanding vendor application usage.
- Leverage data analytics to track progress against growth and retention KPIs.
- Provide feedback on performance to the Management team.
- Assist with documentation of outcomes of Member Outreach and retention events in relevant Health Plan systems.
- Implement best practices for Member Experience and Retention in collaboration STAR team.
- Conduct outreach for new, transitioned, and termed patients.
- Support and partner with new provider offices for outreach and membership retention efforts.
- Maintain relationships with community organizations to identify growth opportunities.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- 1+ years of experience in a healthcare setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Managed care and/or ambulatory care experience.
- Experience with health plans.
- Bilingual in English, Spanish, Chinese or Vietnamese.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Passionate about providing exceptional member experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
- Strong problem solving and conflict resolution skills.

- Hours of operations: 9am – 6pm
- Standard business hours Monday to Friday/weekends as needed
- Occasional travel may be required for meetings and training sessions.
