Brand Accounting Supervisor

Supervisor to support the financial closing, financial operation & controlling process, assuring month-end and year-end closings, and the compliance of the Group and Company policies and procedures.

Brand Accounting Supervisor

Role Overview
Supervisor to support the financial closing, financial operation & controlling process, assuring month-end and year-end closings, and the compliance of the Group and Company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
- Supervise accounting staff
- Conduct performance evaluations, set objectives, monitor KPIs, and measure progress to optimize productivity
- Responsible for the timely financial closing process for month-end and year-end closes and ensuring compliance with IFRS & Group guidelines including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Meet with FP&A quarterly to review balance sheet
- Liaise and advise Maisons and support functions on the appropriate accounting treatment of transactions & business drivers
- Handle fixed asset accounting which includes creating, maintaining, and monitoring related CAPEX reporting
- Review applicable lease agreements for key information
- Accounting for monthly lease contracts including modifications
- Responsible for reviewing the trial balance and providing commentary for variances if necessary
- Participate and support the annual external and internal audits
- Support process improvement projects in line with the business needs driving efficiency and compliance
- Support and participate in ad-hoc Accounting projects
- Accounting degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience
- Good understanding of financial concepts (P&L, Cash Flow and Balance Sheet analysis) and experience in data analytics
- Result-oriented team player and able to work in managing multiple reporting units/maisons environment
- Strong analytical skills with a high level of integrity
- Strong sense of responsibility, self-starter, well organized, able to work independently and under pressure with tight deadlines
- Excel (v-lookups, pivot tables, etc) and Financial system skills
- Experience in SAP ERP platform a plus
- High proficiency in written and verbal communication across various levels of management
- Good team player with the ability to collaborate cross multiple departments
