Overview

The Driver/Warehouse Supervisor plays a critical leadership role in coordinating warehouse operations to support the overall success of field activities. This position is responsible for supervising a team of drivers and warehouse staff, ensuring the efficient and timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites, and maintaining an organized, safe, and compliant warehouse environment. The Supervisor will oversee inventory management, enforce safety protocols, and implement operational best practices to drive productivity and service excellence. Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential to ensure seamless coordination between internal teams and field operations.

Responsibilities

The Driver/Warehouse Supervisor oversees the daily operations of both the driving and warehouse teams, ensuring the safe, efficient, and timely delivery of materials and equipment to job sites. This position is integral to supporting field operations, maintaining accurate inventory control, and upholding safety and regulatory compliance standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Lead, coordinate, and support the driver team to ensure on-time deliveries and pickups.
  • Assign daily routes, deliveries, and priorities based on operational needs.
  • Monitor driver performance and enforce compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Provide coaching, training, and mentorship to drivers to support professional development and operational efficiency.
  • Review and verify driver timecards, attendance, and ensure compliance with required meal and rest breaks.
  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including inventory tracking, receiving, stocking, and issuing of materials and consumables.
  • Oversee and maintain the FIFO (First In, First Out) process for all warehouse inventory.
  • Coordinate warehouse replenishments and consumable tracking, ensuring stock levels support field needs.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and yard environment.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the field regarding material and consumable needs.
  • Support equipment load-outs, returns, and inspections to ensure operational readiness.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, pickups, inventory, and warehouse transactions within company systems (B2W, COINS, or equivalent).
  • Track and report warehouse inventory levels, deliveries, and driver activity to the Equipment Manager.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all warehouse and driver operations.
  • Identify operational issues and recommend process improvements to the Equipment Manager
  • Must keep abreast of all applicable laws and regulations at all times.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 5 years of driving and warehouse experience, preferably in the construction or heavy equipment industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with prior experience supervising teams preferred.
  • Solid understanding of DOT regulations and warehouse safety practices.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with equipment management or inventory systems preferred .
