Searching for an experienced floating Medical Receptionist Trainer in SE Michigan
Description
Position Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Medical Receptionist Trainer to join our healthcare team. This full-time, multi-site position will be responsible for training front desk staff across our network of clinics, with a focus on standardizing front desk operations, enhancing patient experience, and ensuring smooth office transitions during new practice acquisitions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Train and onboard front desk staff on medical office protocols, EHR systems, patient intake, insurance verification, and payment collection.
- Develop, implement, and continuously improve standardized procedures for front desk operations.
- Act as the go-to resource during new office integrations, ensuring front desk workflows align with organizational standards.
- Provide hands-on support in real-time at various locations, coaching staff on scheduling, phone etiquette, check-in/out processes, and HIPAA compliance.
- Create training materials and manuals for front desk functions.
- Audit front desk performance and recommend process improvements based on findings.
- Serve as interim front desk support when needed during staffing shortages.
- Report training outcomes, progress, and areas for improvement to leadership.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree or relevant certifications preferred.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a medical receptionist or front desk lead in a healthcare setting.
- Prior training, supervisory, or lead experience strongly preferred.
- Proficient with Athena and medical office software
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Ability to travel across Southeast Michigan regularly with reliable personal transportation.
- Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of adapting to new environments and workflows quickly.
Work Environment:
- Work will be conducted across multiple clinical sites.
- Travel required frequently within a defined region.
