Account Clerk III will coordinate administrative services for the Parks and Recreation Recruiting and Hiring Team.

Recruiting and Training Services

  • Manage the recruiting process from the pre-requisition stage through the time when the candidate is converted to an employee and everything in between
  • Serve as the primary contact for hiring managers through all phases of the recruitment process, providing training on the process as needed
  • Recommend process improvement targeted at reducing time to fill and attracting top talent
  • Maintain training guides, and train new managers on department recruiting practices
  • Collaborate with Marketing and other internal units to develop the department’s digital recruitment strategies, while expanding social media recruiting presence
  • Represent and support the department at a variety of job fairs and/or special programs by attending, researching, and providing relevant information as needed

Data and Records Management

  • Establish and maintain filing system in accordance with record retention requirements, ensuring security and confidentiality
  • Manage large volume data entry for on-going projects in the City’s Human Resources Information System (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS), and Learning Management System (LMS), as well as in other department developed systems

General Administrative Support

  • Troubleshoot a variety of issues for candidate, employees and supervisors
  • Prepare correspondence, surveys, tabulations, and analyses of surveys
  • Schedule meetings in support of HR Bureau initiatives
  • Create and maintain Excel based data tracking systems
  • Interpret and apply City and departmental policies while ensuring compliance with governing Federal laws

Other Duties

Perform other job duties requiring skills, knowledge and physical requirements as demanded by those duties described or less -Individual assignments will be determined by the supervisor and could include assistance with any HR Bureau service, based on the current workloads and department needs.

Minimum Requirements:

MINIMUMS:
High school or GED plus three (3) years experience in such positions as account clerk or bookkeeper; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
All employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.

May require a passing score of 30 words per minute on a typing test.

Preferences:

  • Experience providing administrative and technical support to HR Professionals
  • Experience with HR systems, including Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS), Applicant Tracking System (ATS),
  • Experience with accurately entering large volumes of data in Excel
  • Experience providing process instructions to applicants and employees
  • Experience as a Job Fair Recruiter
