Job Type: Full-time, Non-exempt
Hours: 10-hour shifts: 12PM-10:30PM; 8 days in a two week period, including alternating weekends.
Work Setting: In-person and Field Service Area
Location: Employee may assigned to a base office in Azusa
Travel: Travel required by company vehicle
Summary Of Functions
Under general supervision, the Ambulance Operator and Transportation Services role is responsible for providing basic medical care and safe transportation services for organ, eye, and tissue donors, clinical personnel, and medical equipment within the OneLegacy DSA. This position requires a high level of professionalism, attention to detail, and adherence to safety protocols.

Education: EMT/Paramedic certification required.
Experience: Minimum one (1) year experience as an ambulance driver.
Certification/License: A current California driver’s license
Salary Range: $43,800-$54,800

Duties & Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
Ambulance Transports
- Drive and operate ambulance equipment safely and effectively under limited supervision.
- Safely transport patients and crew during ambulance transportation, adhering to established protocols and procedures.
- Provide basic life support care within the scope of an EMT, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation, airway maintenance, and emergency medical treatments.
- Assist with lifting patients into and out of ambulances, ensuring their secure positioning.
- Maintain inventory of emergency ambulance supplies and equipment, conducting routine vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Keep detailed records of patient transport, including patient condition, treatments administered, and vital signs.
- Transport organ perfusion devices to and from donor hospitals, ensuring safe handling and operation of medical equipment.
- Operate basic lift equipment to load and unload perfusion devices safely.
- Provide courier services for transplant and donor operations, including transportation of equipment, lab samples, and supplies between OneLegacy offices and donor hospitals.
- Safely transport transplant recovery teams and recovered organs to and from local airports.
- Assist Automotive Fleet Team as requested.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions effectively.
- Physical fitness to perform the duties of the position, including lifting and transporting patients and medical equipment.
Education: EMT/Paramedic certification required.
