Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate all jobsite activities including subcontractors, crews, vendors, and deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with contract documents, plans, and specifications across all phases of construction
  • Oversee project scheduling and adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks
  • Enforce company and project-specific safety protocols including OSHA and EM385-1-1 standards
  • Conduct regular site inspections, safety meetings, and quality control evaluations
  • Interface with clients, inspectors, and project stakeholders with professionalism and transparency
  • Maintain thorough documentation including daily reports, inspection logs, and safety records
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite to manage communication, schedules, and progress reporting
  • Resolve jobsite issues with confidence, creativity, and leadership
  • Travel throughout the state of California as required for project assignments

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a superintendent in the construction industry
  • Demonstrated knowledge of construction sequencing, methods, and best practices
  • Familiarity with OSHA and EM385-1-1 safety requirements
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and team-building skills
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments
  • Clean driving record and valid driver's license
  • Must be able to pass background checks for access to federal facilities
  • Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking)

Physical Requirements

This role involves consistent activity in field settings, including both indoor and outdoor environments. Candidates must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, and navigate uneven terrain for extended periods
  • Climb stairs or access elevated areas on job sites
  • Lift and move up to 75 lbs
  • Operate standard office and construction technology (computer, phone, tablet)
  • Perform tasks involving stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling
  • Work in varying weather conditions as needed

Schedule
