The Advisor Services division supports registered investment advisors (RIAs) with market-leading custody, trading, technology and practice management tools. The Digital Advisor Solutions (DAS) team within Advisor Services leads digital product development and B2B technology strategy for our Schwab Advisor Center platform, third-party developer API offerings, and internal rep platforms. Schwab is the leading provider of custody services in the RIA market and provides access to sophisticated wealth-management services that help RIAs attract and retain affluent clients, as well as profitably grow, compete, and succeed in their business efforts. Schwab serves approximately 15,000 RIA businesses. Our RIA clients manage over $4 trillion of assets in accounts at Schwab.

The Digital Advisor Solutions Group (DAS) within Schwab Advisor Services manages development of key software platforms for advisors and reps, including Schwab Advisor Center, Advisor Services Rep Desktop Tools, and the Third-Party API program. This role works closely with the head of the group and manages a team that provides technology experience thought leadership and program management of on various projects and initiatives.

This role includes managing 3-4 direct reports. Some of these team members manage ad hoc strategic projects, working closely with the Advisor Services strategy team, our client experience organization, and product management teams. This includes providing a technology point-of-view for emerging programs or initiatives, as well as then coordinating execution of product development work across the product management teams. The team also manages key initiatives to support product management best practices within our organization and provide stakeholder updates on work happening within Digital Advisor Solutions.

What you’ll do:

• Deeply understand the collective roadmaps of the Digital Advisor Solutions organization, advisor feedback, and industry trends. Work to synthesize the direction of our platform and help identify and articulate new potential areas of development in various forums for various stakeholders.
• Oversee and coach the activities of team members to program manage strategic projects across various DAS product management teams. You and your team members will help develop client experiences and requirements for supporting technology in partnership with the Advisor Services Strategy, Client Experience, and DAS Product Management teams. Team members will also coordinate and facilitate project execution through steering committee meetings and work track breakouts.
• Work directly with the head of the group to develop and align various communications and meeting agendas supporting management of the Digital Advisor Solutions organization. Communications span updates to the Charles Schwab Executive Committee, All Hands meetings within the DAS organization, and representing the collective work of our team to business partners in sales and service. (This role reports into another Director, but also maintains a direct relationship with the head of Digital Advisor Solutions.)
• Facilitate planning for annual funding requests, rolling up individual team asks into the Digital Advisor Solutions submission with a thematic presentation centered on key outcomes and advisor impacts.
• Facilitate metrics & OKR tracking for the organization.
• Coordinate advisor feedback monitoring across key touchpoints like the Schwab Advisor Center Platform Survey, Client Promoter Score survey, and Schwab Advisor Center Logout Survey.

What you have

Required:

• 7+ years of experience in a digital strategy, digital product management, digital offer management, or a digital product development role.
• Direct reporting line people management experience required.
• Financial services experience required.
• Excellent PowerPoint and writing skills without the use of AI. Ability to create a range of slides from high-level messaging and positioning to conceptual diagrams and data visualizations. Must have a strong focus on formatting and attention to detail.
• Great story-telling skills for framing presentations and editing executive-level summaries.
• Able to coach and guide team members in practicing and building well-rounded Schwab project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to build relationships and maintain a broad network to connect the dots on key initiatives throughout the organization and drive distributed work.
• Top notch organization skills to keep track of multiple deliverables and priorities, both short- and long-term, at the same time and coordinate supporting work across the team or other groups.
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data.

Preferred:

• Experience working in the RIA industry strongly preferred.
