As a Professional Civil Engineer (PE) in our Las Cruces Engineering Group, you will leverage your expertise in construction drawings and technical specifications for water, wastewater, gas, and transportation projects.
Your Role & Responsibilities
In this role, you will lead and contribute to:
- Participating in a project team to develop construction drawings and technical specifications for water, wastewater, gas, and transportation projects.
- Design elements include: engineering reports, grading and drainage, public utilities, water/wastewater treatment, site development, and roadways.
- Other duties include engineering and construction contracts, writing scopes of work, cost estimating, bidding administration, and construction administration.
- You have graduated with a bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
- You have earned your PE license in New Mexico.
- You have four (4) or more years of proven experience in water/wastewater engineering, to include one (1) year of project management. Preference given to prior experience in consulting engineering and experience with managing multi-disciplinary projects.
- You have experience with the development of water and wastewater type projects including items such as facility design, wastewater collection system (treatment facilities, pump stations, etc.), water distribution and conveyance systems and water supply.
- You have demonstrated organizational skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and have the ability to solve problems.
- You can work independently and as an effective member of a team.
- You can manage multiple projects and mentor/train staff.
