Join our innovative California workers' compensation insurance team for a summer internship in data engineering. This hands-on role will provide valuable experience working with specialized insurance datasets, regulatory reporting, ETL pipelines, and machine learning workflows. As part of our small, flat organization, you'll gain valuable insights directly from department leaders while building practical skills that directly provide value to customers.

- Assist in improving data pipelines for processing insurance datasets
- Support the creation of reporting tools to help with regulatory compliance
- Help optimize current data workflows to make them more efficient
- Contribute to projects focused on workers’ compensation analytics
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field
- Intermediate/ advanced programming knowledge (Python, SQL, or similar languages)
- Interest in data engineering and analytics
- Curiosity about the insurance industry, particularly workers' compensation
- Collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn in a team environment
