About This Role

In this role, you'll drive Audible's Global Center for Urban Innovation mission, increasing access and opportunities for underrepresented voices while unlocking new narratives of collective prosperity. You'll manage and lead our Audio Literacy Programs, activating Audible's content to provide underserved youth globally with access to culturally relevant audiobooks, fostering listening comprehension, critical thinking, and a love of listening. Additionally, you'll scale our College and Career Readiness Programs, offering learning experiences leveraging employee skills to support youth in developing essential abilities for academic and professional success. Embodying Audible's core principle of "Imagine and Invent Before They Ask," you'll ensure our programs remain innovative, disruptive, and transformative.

As a Program Manager, Education, you will...

  • Manage the lifecycle of 2-3 education programs, from planning and development to implementation and evaluation
  • Ensure programs align with strategic objectives and GCUI's impact goals
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and educators to design and develop engaging, relevant curriculum
  • Partner with non-profit organizations, conduct due diligence, and negotiate contracts
  • Collect and analyze data to assess program effectiveness and identify areas for improvement
  • Prepare reports and presentations on program outcomes for stakeholders
  • Assist in generating impact stories that highlight program and participant success
  • Represent Audible at internal and external events, positioning us as a leader in education programs
  • Facilitate communication, organize employee volunteers, and manage stakeholder dependencies
  • Travel occasionally for stakeholder meetings, speaking engagements, conferences, and other external commitments

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in managing education programs for underrepresented populations, including working with schools and/or youth-serving organizations
  • Experience with program design, implementation, and evaluation
  • Experience in leading corporate social impact initiatives, shared value partnerships, and/or measurement and evaluation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Comprehensive understanding of literacy pedagogy
  • Experience with strategy development
  • Willingness and ability to perform both strategic and tactical/operational tasks
  • Flexibility to adapt in an ever-changing environment
  • Ability to influence without authority/control, and record of negotiation skills
