As a Live Event Driver (LED), you will report to the Live Event Team Manager. A schedule document updated daily by the Live Event Team Manager will provide structure to the LEDs travel requirements. Driving, delivery, and basic set-up of special event trailers make up the main duties of the position. Delivery of vehicles/trailers to destinations will always fall under very strict timelines. Travel of up to 150 days a year sets the expectation of the time away from home. Other duties include maintenance on trucks/trailers, keeping vehicles clean to promote BearCom image, and assisting with registrations and other licensing items. Following standard operational procedures in all aspects of the job is required, along with making suggestions to improve upon how these procedures are carried out.

Responsibilities:

  • On time delivery of trucks and trailers to customer locations throughout North America.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal laws while driving and delivering trailers for BearCom.
  • Track driving hours and mileage using BearCom provided software to stay within DOT safety regulations.
  • Take part daily in cultivating an environment within the Event Support Team that centers on teamwork.
  • Manage work related expenses within budgets while traveling and working of projects.
  • Travel to customer locations and always represent BearCom in a positive and professional manner.
  • Multi-task and work under time constraints.
  • Help with other projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience driving company vehicles. Experience driving large trucks and trailers is a plus.
  • Experience with DOT rules and regulations is a plus.
  • Experience using Omnitracs or other mileage tracking software is a plus.
  • Ability to climb ladders to set-up and work on trailers
  • Must be able to lift and move 50 lbs. boxes.
  • Must be a team player and self-starter who takes complete ownership for their results.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced business
  • Able to cultivate strong internal and external relationships
  • Must be an active listener who gives full attention to internal and external customers.
  • Must have strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Must have strong computer literacy with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Familiarity with JDE is a plus.
  • Must be able to pass routine medical physical exam.
  • Drug screenings and background checks are part of the hiring process, which may include a Motor Vehicle Record check.
