Receiving Associate

Overview

Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced warehouse. Working as a Part-time Receiving Associate, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. When inventory arrives at the HUB location, you will verify the product and quantity delivered, then prepare it to move to the next department, product handling. Responsibilities

• Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product
• Unloading product
• Inspecting orders to ensure accuracy of shipment and reporting discrepancies
• Inspecting product for quality and accuracy
• Using a scale for weighing product
• Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area
• Complying with health, safety, and sustainability rules and expectations
• Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety, and sustainability objectives
• Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings

Required Position Qualifications

• Proficient written and oral communication skills
• Proficient computer skills
• Highly motivated, self-directed and customer service oriented
• Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail, and sense of urgency
• Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Work independently as well as in a team environment
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed
• Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity, and teamwork
• Lift, slide, carry, and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs
• Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY)

Preferred Position Qualifications

• Prior experience operating a forklift
