We are searching for a Human Resources Manager in the Washington State region. The Human Resources and Safety teams value collaboration, support, integrity, competence and consistency. The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing workforce planning, including recruitment and selection for the Washington region, managing Workers Compensation, ensuring compliance with employment laws and contracts, and resolving employee relations issues.

Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:

Workforce Planning – Manages the recruitment and selection process of Walsh hires. Employs methods that attract qualified candidates and facilitates the selection of people who are a good fit for the position and company culture.

Workers Compensation – Manages and processes Washington workers compensation claims for Walsh and RDF Builders Co.

HR Administration and Compliance – Manages the administration of the HR function ensuring compliance with employment related laws and updating company policies and procedures as necessary.

Employee Relations and People Development - Acts as a resource to employees and internal consultant with managers and supervisors in resolving employee relations matters and develops the rest of the HR team.

  • Possess specific knowledge of company policies, practices and benefits.
  • Ability to meet regular deadlines, stay organized, and have a strong attention to detail.
  • Skilled at working with a variety of people at different levels and maintaining a strong customer focus.
  • Skilled at working with computer programs including: Microsoft Office products and Vista by Viewpoint.
  • Capacity to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to read, speak and understand English.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Formal Education: College degree required and some higher education in Human Resources procedures is necessary.
  • Certifications: SHRM or HRCI.
  • Previous Job Performance/Experience: Minimum of four years working in Human Resources required. Adequate knowledge of MS Windows, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and HR Vista by Viewpoint.

Salary range $92,000 to $120,000 annually.
