RN PreOp and Recovery Nurse/PACU - 2 days per week -Part Time (757288)
Hiring a full-time RN is not an option at this time due to the need only being 1-2 days per week. A PRN contract RN would provide the necessary staffing support during these high volume days. Every Tuesday & Wednesday 2X8 hour schedule per week.
Prepares patients (infants to geriatrics) for surgical procedures by conducting physical assessments, starting IVÆs when applicable, completing Pre-operative labs/consents and ensures H&PÆs are current according to organizational policies/procedures. Responsible for conducting business and patient care activities consistent with the Clinics policy for Patients Rights and Responsibilities without discriminating against the individual because of sex, age, race, or religion, or any other potentially discriminating factor.
Also, for the discrete and confidential handling of all patient information, whether written or spoken, and to be ever vigilant and sensitive to where and how any patient information is shared.
Due to the high volume of patients on Tuesdays, we experience a significant increase in workload. This makes staffing particularly challenging, as the demand for nursing support Tuesdays exceeds the capacity of our regular staff. Additionally, on occasion, Wednesdays also experience increased volume.
