Position Overview:
Join the growing team at our world-class train manufacturing facility in Sacramento, CA. Siemens Mobility, Rolling Stock Division is the North American market leader in the production of passenger locomotives and coaches, and light rail vehicles.
We have an immediate opening for an experienced Test Technician. As a Test Technician, you will be responsible for performing extensive tests on products once they are through the production line. Your role is crucial to ensuring our products meet quality assurance standards and are ready for market distribution. When you discover problems or inaccuracies, you will send them back to the manufacturing line for adjustments or repair. All testing must be documented properly, and significant issues need to be reported to upper management.
What your day-to-day will look like:
- Perform electrical point to point wire checks on light rail, locomotive and coaches
- Troubleshoot, document and repair electrical and mechanical failures
- Work with state-of-the-art dialogistic test equipment.
- Understand and comply with company and industry safety standards.
- Communicate with others, verbally and in writing, technical information, job procedure recommendations, and other work-related information.
- Have ability to work independently and among a team with multi-disciplinary backgrounds.
- Read, interpret, and understand written or electronic schematics.
- Installing and removing test equipment
To thrive in this role, you have:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Experience in product verification and test automation is a plus.
- Attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

The salary may be higher or lower depending on the budget and the candidate's experience, knowledge, skills, and qualifications.
