Overview

The General Clerk will be responsible for communicating with customers and local staff to ensure

inventory items are billed appropriately. Additionally will interface with vendors concerning

invoicing processes to ensure proper paperwork is received and processed in a timely fashion for

payment and filing of associated paperwork. Position will also entail assisting with processing and

filing of inventory control paperwork for all processes at the location.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Receiving workload communications verbally and from documentation
  • Providing status on orders
  • Answering telephones
  • Writing customer correspondence
  • Responding to email inquiries
  • Creating and maintaining soft and/or hard copy files
  • Photocopying documents
  • Performing and documenting research for inventory and sales adjustments
  • Performing and documenting research for financial
  • Additional tasks/assignments may occur
  • Reviewing and approving Purchase Order documents
  • Reviewing and finalizing invoicing documents
  • Performing data entry for part number creations and history

Qualifications

  • Experience with general office procedures
  • Experience with desktop computers
  • Experience with customer service
  • Experience working as a part of a team and collaborating with colleagues
  • Current Driver's License

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial/government inventory/Point-of-Sale systems
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Business Central Experience with auto and/or HD truck parts

Physical Requirements

Sedentary work -Occasionally exerting up to 10 pounds of force by lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling or otherwise moving objects. Work involves sitting most of the time; walking and standing are required only occasionally.
