Security Officers, sometimes referred to as Security Guards, deter criminal activity, protect property and enforce rules on a premises. Some monitor surveillance cameras and alarms from a stationary position, while others patrol areas and do security checks. In factories, warehouses and offices. Security Officers provide protection for equipment and workers along with checking the credentials of vehicles and individuals coming and going from the premises.

Available Positions: Rover Unarmed Security Officer

• Rover: Foot Patrols, responsible for detecting any suspicious behavior and preventing vandalism, thefts or other criminal behavior, assisting coverage at other post during rest breaks and lunch breaks.
• Hospitality Service: Greet visitors and employees with a friendly demeanor, check identification, log visitor vehicles, announce visitors, control access to all persons authorized to be on the property, etc.
• Front Desk: Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, customer service, access control, greeting employees and customers with a courteous demeanor, monitor CCTV camera systems, announce visitors, distribute packages, etc.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Observation and Vigilance:
• Mustremain alertat all times, observe their surroundings, looking for signs of suspicious activity, potential threats, or disorderly conduct.
• Acknowledge unusual activities and investigate further or report it to the appropriate authorities.
• Access Control:
• Responsible formonitoring access points. Check tickets, passes, or identification to ensure only authorized individuals enter the station.
• Unauthorized individuals or trespassers are promptly addressed and removed from the premises.
• Emergency Response:
• In case of emergencies (medical incidents, accidents, fires, etc.), must be able to take swift action. Assist with evacuations, provide first aid, or call for help.
• Familiarity with emergency protocols and communication systems is essential.
• Crime Prevention and Deterrence:
• Be able to act as a visible deterrent against criminal activity to ensure the safety of others
• Conduct patrols on all platforms, parking lots, and other areas to prevent theft, vandalism, or other crimes.
• Documentation and Reporting:
• Must be able maintaindetailed recordsof incidents, disturbances, or any unusual occurrences.
• Accurate notetaking helps with investigations and ensures proper follow-up.
• Customer Service:
• Able to interact with commuters, providingassistance and informationwhen needed.
• Politeness, patience, and clear communication are essential for positive interactions.
  

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid CA BSIS Guard Card.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Computer Skills.
• Familiarity with report writing.
• Monitoring and surveillance experience.
• Must be able to multitask and prioritize assigned tasks.
• 1 Year minimum Security Guard Experience Required!
• Must be able to pass pre-employment background check screening.
