- Welcome clients and pets with warmth, professionalism, and genuine care
- Manage phone calls, triage needs, and schedule appointments with confidence
- Educate clients about pet health, preventative care, and hospital services
- Support patient flow and ensure efficiency throughout the day
- Handle client transactions, invoices, and cash drawer reconciliation
- Respond to client concerns with empathy and effective problem-solving
- Promote teamwork and help create a positive, collaborative practice culture
- Dispense prescription items and retail products under veterinary guidance
- Keep client and patient records up-to-date in our practice management software
- Maintain a strong understanding of hospital services and offerings
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- 1-2+ years of customer service or receptionist experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience in a veterinary clinic is a plus
- Familiarity with multi-line phone systems, Outlook, and Cornerstone (preferred)
- Knowledge of Vetstoria, Vetsource, and Vet2Pet helpful
- Basic understanding of veterinary terminology and willingness to learn more
- Comfortable with basic triage and client education
- Able to stay organized and efficient during high call volumes
- A positive, team-first mindset and a genuine love for helping people and pets
- Flexible availability, including weekday shifts and eventually Saturday shifts
- We’re currently seeking full-time coverage.
- Flexibility is key—we are open Monday through Friday, with Saturday availability expected in the future.
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2+ years of experience in a CSR/receptionist role in a healthcare setting
- Veterinary experience preferred
