We are looking for a motivated and organized Underwriting and Account Boarding Specialist II who will prescreen and process new customer applications for approval, review data, and contact sales agents to complete applications for submission and approval.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Analyze and evaluate merchant applications to determine the risk associated with a potential merchant.
- Review data submitted by sales agents and partners and complete validation and verification.
- Guide Agents and partners on the best platform for their potential merchants based on industry
- Contact Agents via phone or email, for additional information if not provided on initial paperwork.
- Complete and submit application packages to the appropriate banks for approval.
- Respond to inquiries from the processing banks via phone or email if additional information is needed.
- Contribute content to Confluence Knowledgebase based on job role and industry best practices.
- Review and update documentation on a periodic basis to ensure content accuracy and validity.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent, Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 2 - 4 years of related experience in account underwriting
- Familiarity in the merchant processing industry with experience related to underwriting and account boarding preferred
- Ability to focus on a detailed application and ensure accuracy before submission
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems
- Proficient keyboard and computer skills, especially Microsoft Office applications
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment as part of a team but assume ownership and responsibility for team and self-assigned work.
