We are looking to hire (3) Business Transformation Experts for our property insurance line of business. These are temporary roles, hybrid working schedules, and based in our Chicago, Illinois or New York City office.

The Impact You Will Have

Reporting to the Chief Underwriting Officer, North America, the Business Process Transformation Expert will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives across the Lines of Business, focusing on implementing change initiatives such as task transfer, BMP, Submission Intake, Salesforce, and others. This role will independently drive transformational initiatives, enhance operational efficiency, and ensure alignment with business goals across all Lines of Business in North America. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical skills, project management, and the ability to collaborate with leadership and peer groups.

Some of your specific responsibilities could include:

  • Oversee, develop and implement strategic transformation projects (including BMP, task transfers, IT platforms and tools, data quality projects, Salesforce) across all Lines of Business at Allianz Commercial North America, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth ambitions.
  • Represent North America in relevant global projects, working with global project stakeholders to ensure alignment with Group goals.
  • Lead all underwriting process improvement initiatives to ensure productivity benefits are delivered to underwriting across all Lines of Business.
  • Collect feedback and business requirements for all tech stack relevant projects allowing for full transparency on the needs of North America and drive the implementation with relevant global teams.
  • Act as a change manager and liaison between underwriters, operations, distribution, finance, and claims, as well as other Transformation Managers, maximizing harmonization and maintaining high-quality standards across all Lines of Business.
  • Lead trainings and provide guidance on new processes and systems to underwriters and other stakeholders in relation to new system initiatives/processes.
  • Lead relevant task transfer initiatives in close collaboration with Operations and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, including the design and implementation of underwriting process changes, developing new workflows and deploying new tools to underwriting teams.

What You’ll Bring to the Role –

  • A minimum of 3 years’ proficiency in data analytics tools and advanced knowledge in Excel and database applications. Minimum 7 years’ experience in managing large, complex projects with a successful track record. Minimum 1 year experience working internationally and with international teams.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or a related field.
  • Underwriting know-how, customer analytics, interconnection with other functions, and IT know-how for products.
  • Project steering, change management, training, communications & presentation, and Allianz know-how.
  • A deep knowledge of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML), with the ability to leverage AI-driven insights to shape strategic decisions and drive innovation across the organization.

The annualized base pay range for this role is $121,188 to $217,550. The actual salary for this position may be above and is determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. As part of our comprehensive compensation and highly rated benefits programs, employees are also eligible for annual performance-based cash incentive awards.
