Location: Port of Galveston 

Position: Terminal Ambassador 

Pay Rate: $16.00/ hour

Hours:Part-time 3-4 days a week

Requirements: This position requires all candidates to work weekends. No exceptions.

The Spirit of the Position:  The Ambassador greets and creates a welcoming atmosphere for our customers and clients with the goal of increasing parking revenue through drive-up sales.

What will I do? 

  • Be engaging. Approach customer vehicles with the goal of promoting and soliciting Port of Galveston Cruise Parking.
  • Assist customers in lanes with directions to Port of Galveston Cruise Parking facilities and local attractions.
  • Distribute promotional items to facilitate sales.
  • Promote good customer relations by consistently providing a positive Guest Experience with a friendly attitude. 
  • Complete other related duties as assigned. 

 Education:  

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.   

Experience/Skills: 

  • Strong customer service experience required
  • Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.  
  • Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations. 
  • Ability to handle challenging environments and at times, emotionally charged situations. 
  • Ability to speak, read, and comprehend the English language. 

 Physical Demands:

  • Willingness to work in the elements – heat, wind, snow, rain, etc. 
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 10 pounds. 
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
